3D TV

3D TV is no longer the television of the future, its the television of today. Just think about how television has moved forward into the future from long ago. Just like the good old days when TV went from black and white to color. What an amazing transformation that was. Now with the astonishing transformations television has gone through since the first television ever made, technology has really taken off. So get out of the past and prepare for the future. TV is now like never before with the new technology of 3D TV.

A 3D TV is a television that can operate in 3D mode. It is a technology that allows the viewers to experience television viewing such as programs, movies, games, etc. in a 3D image also know as stereoscopy. This creates the illusion of depth in an image and creates a three dimensional visual picture. Stereoscopy is a highly preferred method of 3D used today over all other 3D methods available.

In order to achieve the full 3D experience at home you will need a 3D HDTV ready television. There are many brands that produce this television on the market today to choose from. They also come in many different sizes and price ranges. You will also need active shutter glasses that may or may not come with the purchase of a 3D TV. If they are included in the television purchase you may need to purchase additional glasses for everyone who would like to experience 3D together. Or maybe you would like to keep extra pairs on hand for guest. Another piece of equipment you may want to purchase is a 3D-ready Blue Ray DVD player. This is necessary in order to watch 3D Blue Ray Discs. Or if you currently have a PS3 you will be able to update it with the proper firmware. To connect the 3D TV and 3D-ready Blue Ray DVD player you will need a high-speed HDMI cable 10.2 Gbps or higher. Lastly, if you will be connecting a home theater receiver it is strongly recommended that you use one with a HDMI 3D pass-through technology. This will give you the greatest quality and dynamics and is a 3D-ready home theater receiver. It will also eliminate the possibility of the picture and sound not being in sync. With all the right equipment you should have an astounding 3D viewing experience right in your own home.

Be aware that there are changes that will need to be made in order to have the full compatibility with this new equipment. Other equipment you may already have may not be compatible and may need to be upgraded to work properly together. Also keep in mind that old 3D DVD titles are not designed to display accurately with the 3D-ready Blue Ray Players. You will need to purchase 3D Blue Ray Disc to work appropriately with the new 3D set-up. Also you will need a firmware update or possibly even new equipment from your cable or satellite company to be able to watch 3D programming.

The 3D active shutter glasses are unlike any of those used in the past at theaters or at home. They are specialized to work with only 3D televisions and are in sync together through either a Bluetooth or infrared signal. These glasses run on either rechargeable or replaceable batteries dependent on the glasses you own. These glasses are special due to the shutters that open and close blocking either the right or left eye as each frame quickly runs by. This in affect allows you to view the picture in 3D on the 3D TV.

The future in TV is now here with this new technology and advancements for our television viewing experience. You will take pleasure in the excitement of movies, gaming, and programs in 3D form. With all the new equipment now available take a step into the future and enjoy TV like never before with a 3D TV.
